Cranberry Eagle

If you read in the Cranberry Eagle section Letters to the Editor I was appalled at something I read. It was under Contributors for Lexi Lauded. I had the most respect for Mr. & Mrs. Lenz cause I know they have had a tragedy in their life.
In this article it says that he was going to match upto $500.00 for donations for Lexi. What he said I find that he had no business writing is that I quote " When the letter was published, I had actually expected the largest response to be from residence in the Cranberry Township and was therefor surprised that the three donations were from elderly woman living in Zelienple".
What is up with this Mr. Lenz I am sorry you think we Cranberry residence have tons of money. First I know the Lexi story and personally I am not giving my money to something that is not a sure bet. The other thing is that Cranberry doesn't know who this child is. You have no right to call us out and say that you expected Cranberry to be a big giver. We give all the time the Cranberry Cup is a fine example on how we give and personally that was opened up to the Seneca Valley School District not just Cranberry Twp. anymore. In this day and age with food and gas prices on the rise I have to worry about my own family that comes first. I am really ashamed of the way you wrote this article and I personally think you owe the residence of Cranberry Township an apology.
I give as much as I can give to anyone that needs help Mr. Lenz. I have given to friends that have been down on their luck buying Christmas gifts for their parents to give them on Christmas morning, I have given new toys to the school so the teacher's could can help the parents out on Christmas. I have given food to friends that don't have alot. So Mr. Lenz I am a Cranberry Township residence and I give. I have the right to pick and choose where I give and you have no right putting down Cranberry Township. I now know that my kids will not be attending your driving school cause heck I live in Cranberry.

I did not read the article, but I can say, as a Cranberry Resident, just as I have limited entertainment dollars, I also have a limited amount of money set aside for charitable contributions. I get the impression that someone is attempting to "guilt" me into donating money. Angry don't play that.

I have absolutely no idea what this even pertains to. I am a Cranberry resident and what is the cause I'm not giving to?? Sorry, I don't have my Eagle yet--can anyone fill me in?
