lurkers, fill in the blanks or put forth your name so you can join the blogosphere society.

The dynamics of this game are starting to change also. I think if the bloggers know each other, they should fess up. Rayford & I said we knew each other a long time ago.
YC has its rules and we should too. It's like we're playing a game of "Clue" of some of the bloggers already know that Col Mustand owns a candlestick and hangs out in the billiard room. Guessing that you might know someone is OK, but if we have teamwork going on here, say so.
I honestly do not personally know anyone on this blog (as far I know!) and have never had a secret rendez-vous with anyone here.
I said in another post, I think I might know who vader is, not on a personal level though. TL, if you hadn't posted your age and 'westie' location, I would swear I know you. You have a personality clone on the east side who is a few years younger with the same wit and sense of humor.
Finally, I did reveal my true age in another post. I'm 51..and a real girly girl, hence the avatar choice.
~* chanel *~
We ARE "all over the place"...multi-tasking, of course!
As far as the female personality reference in vaders post, no way would I even attempt to debate or challenge that statement. It's true, females love to talk and talk and talk.
HELP! I'm talking and I can't shut up!
~* chanel *~
I do not know anyone on these blogs! As far as the chatter goes, females love to express their feelings, unlike most men, who half the time cannot hear what is being said so they have no response except for the occasional grunt. Beware the secret government. Also-you will probably guess who I am first at the blogosphere social because I am a SENIOR and a male would probably expect just that-wrinkles, graying hair, stout and mean!!
LOL..Good man club bash..it's true though..As you said in a previous post, selective hearing. My kids have that, as well.
~* chanel *~
BTW-I might be sporting my straw purse and getting us discounts with my AARP card.
me when that AARP mag comes in the mail. I don't have one in my name yet (maybe they haven't found out my age), only hubbys name, but my kids always bring that mag to my attention cuz they know it pisses me off. UGGH!
~* chanel *~
I get a knot in my stomach when that info comes in the mail-uggh! Not a member and don't plan on enrolling in the near future!
BTW-Nice shoes!! Very sharp! Someday we must go shoe shopping!
M4S … R U worried if we short circuit our keyboards that we won’t be able to blog for a time? We’re not all over the place, just able to sip tea as we read Evelyn Wood style, & click from blog to blog (& there are short cuts 2 do that you know) …. & type at the speed of lightening – for myself I cut & paste into a word doc to run things through spell … *perhaps* we’re every where YOU want to be :=) …
When we moved to Pgh, I was told that it was the Western most Eastern city … I didn’t have to adjust how fast I talked around these parts so much as I had to slow down answering a question as I think pretty fast. In '92 I taught a week at CMU; those guys kept up just fine; a real contrast to the wk I was at UCLA …. I had to ssslllooowww down A LOT how fast I talked, & hand out copies of my notes ahead of time; & use the white boards while lecturing to slow myself down … yes M4S… your observation that there are bunch of pretty smart ladies on here is indeed an astute one, as is thinking of us as an intriguing lot of characters.… fear not … no matter where we, girlz, end up … we’ll wait for all the happy, simple men to arrive before starting the ‘party’ :=)
~Faith
PS Yes - we are planning secret mini liaison; this is *actually* true … does that bother you???? & Who, may I inquire is Agent Mulder?
mulder and skully.....please tell me that someone in your house can fill you in on this...secret government, etc. once you figure it out you'll understand...my all-time favorite sci-fi, seinfeld...my all-time favorite comedy...dancing with the stars (i know sounds gay) my favorite reality (for obvious reasons)
My husband probably knows but to most of my family, I *am* the secret government :=) + I'm not a big sci-fi fan ... dancing w/ the stars PuLLeASe ... M4S so cliche I won't go there :=)
~Faith
PS J4U -- I'll Google Mulder & Skully & report back what I learned.
PPS Here’s a do over on Rayferd’s W of W : #1
1. Your last name stays put *because* it took you over 2 decades to
learn how to spell it & changing it means learning all over again ….
PPPS My husband says this amts to man bashing … so men bloggers post if you feel the same way & I’ll stop lampooning anymore of Rayferd’s W of W ….just a Y or N … commentary will only keep me going :=)
Feel free to continue. It has become obvious that all the men on this blog have a superior intellect compared to the women, so we won't be offended at all.
You’re kidding me, right? I mean you wrote that you can't understand 50% of my posts; my teenage nieces understand them ... I guess your lucky that you won’t have to read any research papers I’ve written … superior U say … I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt …. if that gets you through the day :=)
~Faith
PS Here are some more ...
0. Men Are Just Happier People-- What do you expect from such simple creatures? ... Not much evidently by the looks of this list !
2. The garage is all yours. … if you’re employed as a parking attendant!
4. Chocolate is just another snack. That’s just sad not to know the many virtues & hidden benefits of chocolate …
6. You can never be pregnant. True … & you also will never know what it is like to grow a life & give birth vs. say inventing the ‘bass o matic” ….
10. The world is your urinal... ICK! & still it seems you’re proud of this ….
13. Same work, more pay. I think men *need* to believe this & your higher ups keep the truth about this ugly little secret to themselves; U underestimate what chicks make in the work place … due to that multi tasking, multi faceted talent thing...more like less work & more pay :=)
16. People never stare at your chest when you're talking to them. … unless you need a mansierre & if you don’t need a man-bra, people probably never look at you at all …
PS Titan Lee ... let me know when ... I mean *if* it gets to be too much :=)
Come on M4S, gimme your best guess.
male/female, age, east/west?
I'm curious.
We don't have much to go on, but here's my guess:
Male
48
Eastie
Am I close?
75% correct.
Is the par-tay still happenin' on the 18th??
I'm thinking male and eastie, but age not correct? Since there were only 3 characteristics mentioned, If only one was correct, it would mean 33% correct, if two were correct, then 66% correct, and if all three correct, then 99.9% correct.
Trying to figure out your 75% calculation.
~* chanel *~
Don't bother trying to figure out calculation...Way off base.
Whatever, it is what it is...
~* chanel *~
You might be sipping tea at the Johnston House, but me? I am sipping (maybe not sipping) wine, and over the last several days have lost track of where I posted, what I've read, etc.
Again, it's that female trait of wanting to be involved in everything and we don't want to miss out on anything.
~* chanel *~
coffee in the morning .... tea in the afternoon .... & wine at night
~Faith
Maybe this is our first 'fight'. I beg to differ, but for me it's wine in the morning, wine in the afternoon and much more wine at night!
~* chanel *~
Don't wanna fight ... I just poured myself a glass of vino ....
~Faith
PS We honeymoooned in the Napa Valley ... it was *fantastic* ...
is beautiful...My hub has two sisters that live in the bay area and we've been to Napa several times. Toured the Beringer Winery and another that I can't remember. It was the one where you take a tram to the top of a major hill, Maybe Sutter Home or Mondavi? I can't remember, but Northern CA is the MOST beautiful area that I've been to.
~* chanel *~
If we could afford it, I'd move there tomorrow ... there's so much so close ...
~Faith
The most beautiful part of the US in my eyes..Northern CA..just stunning and livable when you're used to a metro area. Obviously the cost of housing is unheard of here...We could not afford housing with our current lifstyle, but I have always said that is where I would love to live...Danville, San Ramon, Walnut Creek, all in N. CA. Beautiful!!!
~* chanel *~
San Ramon... & Scot Adams (the dilbert guy) lived on the street behind us .... oh you're making think of how I'd love to take a "road trip" & walk along some of those pacific beaches this time of year ...
~Faith
Before hub and I had kids, and we were visiting N. CA., we drove from SF to LA along the Pacific Coast Highway. What an awesome trip that was. Beautiful coastal highway...awesome!!!
~* chanel *~
When I lived in No CA & would travel up & down the coast for seminars, etc.. I remember thinking, "& they pay me too!" I mean how can going to Carmel for a long weekend even w/ a one day conference equal work ...
~Faith
If we could afford it (which would mean no kids, no college tuitions, etc..) & was just he & I, we'd go tomorrow ... there's so much so close ... I want to sky dive ... a friend does that out there ... that is one thing on my bucket list ... to sky dive ....
~Faith
I just noticed that Chanel & Faith are "chicks" and all the other women are "women". Hmmmm.
Isn't that interesting? Yes I am a chick and proud of it...
~* chanel *~
22. You can open all your own jars. ... & when you're a chick you never have to open your own jars unless you want 2 !!
~Faith
PS When I worked f-t in the business world ... I could run faster in my high heels than in flats ... remember Easy Spirit ... & I don't mean the short heels either ... I still have my black & navy blue ... & have even had them reheeled...when those square chunky things were in style I thought this is UGLY ... glad 'regular' heels returned ...
I love your number 22, so true. I can be really helpless when I want to be, even when it comes to opening jars.
~* chanel *~
Oh yes, you better believe it :=) ... I have some really good lampoons for the rest too …. How do you like this one?
5. You can be President…. of what, the Hair Club for Men?
~Faith
PS I think there's enough passion to go around if I went w/ some heels ... but fear not ... there seems to be enough girl 'talk' to accomplish pretty much the same thing ...
deliberate in all he does.
I just noticed that Mfs didn't report your gender in his analysis. My 'guess' is that you are male, a very flippn' funny and humorous one at that!
~* chanel *~
You are correct. I didn't even notice that because I was trying to get a "cat" fight started with the "chicks and women" comment.
As long as I am always considered a chick, no fight here! It's still early in the day, so you may be 'putting out fires' later on. Monday is my day off = mucho blog time in between my multi-tasking and 'mom' stuff.
~* chanel *~
I don't think there will any fires. I don't think caught that comment.
You don't think? Hmmmm, only time will tell.
~* chanel *~
Glad I got that one correct! I was a little nervous (not), going out on a limb to guess whether you were male or female (duh), you know because of your female avatar. I didn't want to offend you if i was wrong.
You see, us females are way more intelligent than you give us credit for.
~* chanel *~
and leave one pair of heels on. Quit your damn switching, Chanel. Leave those cankles in some pumps and be done with it. Avatars changing every hour on the hour.
- The Shep
I am a chick and after wearing the same heels for one week, I need to buy a new pair. AND, Chanel does NOT in any way have cankles, thank you. Again, Shep, Botox, Restylane, Hydroxitone, you need to be free of your frowns!!!
~* chanel *~
Now that I know my avatar ADD bothers you, I'll be changing it more often just to piss you off...or....turn you on
~* chanel *~
Your high heels are 'bothering' shep so much I'm tempted to put a pair "on" too LOL
~Faith
That might PMO, cuz I wouldn't want every female on the blog stealing my passion.
~* chanel *~
let me preface...its not a big deal but...somehow we have seen a thread evolve into a major chat session between the "girls of the blogosphere" AGAIN. only titan, the shep and me step up to face that probable firestorm. c'mon guys, step up enmasse and re-claim our rightful place at the top of the pyramid (he, he, he)...that was a joke girls.
need to jump in more often to redirect our focus, otherwise you have witnessed what happens. We just can't help ourselves.
