New flagging feature

A new "flag as inappropriate" feature as been added to ALL Trib Total Media "yoursites" to help maintain appropriate content. This is a standard tool on many sites around the Web. This feature supplements the already-existing feedback form. Please flag the content or use the feedback form to report posts which you believe my violate our Terms of Service. Do not attempt to address any inappropriate posts by commenting back to the poster or commenting to us---Use the flag feature or feedback form instead.

I think we are pretty safe from being flagged. Although, blah-blah-blah might raise a flag. BTW-do you think .3% was fair? How about the way they went about revealing and voting on NBA findings? Kinda shady to me.

You sound like "Pat A" with your conspiracy theory about how the NBA findings were released - he made some foolish comment that the Board must have had the findings before the Union got them (Friday) if they could have turned around a vote on Monday night.
I referred to him in another post where I brought that up as "A-Hole" - I wonder if that would have been flagged?
TO me it is simple there are nine board memebers who most of them (at least their committee) were probably at the hearing. It is common sence ti think the baord had a general idea how it was goign to turn out. I think we all knew the NBA would not go with the unions' salary. Therefore the baord had an idea and prepared for it so when the report came out they could difest it and act on it if they choosed. Everyone on the baord knows (at least they should) what are the current porposals and the costs involved. Therefore they were in the loop longer on the issues. THe union has longer to prepare because becuase they have to present the entire position to the entire union and explain every detail becuase the rank and file does not know the details of the proposals. So it will take them longer to do communicate this. Rank and anf file only hear the highlights or what is specualted in the press. I highly doubt every proposal is brought to the memebership for review much less a vote. Every proposal stays with Pat team and their subcommittee.

There used to be a feature/tool that allowed direct contact between blogger friends. Ex. blogger_1 would add blogger_2 as a friend; then when blogger_1 clicked on blogger_2's avatar/blogger name, a button was there that was called something like: "contact". If blogger_1 clicked on the contact button, basically an email would open up...
I only used this once last fall -- I noticed then, that as blogger_1 - initiating the direct contact, (& if we continue w/ using my example from above) my blogger name along with my REAL/ACTUAL email was in the FROM field, in the TO field, was (simply) blogger_2's name.
If you are able, would you explain why this feature was removed?

To answer your question, the 'direct contact' feature was disabled due to technical problems. We may add a similar feature in the future.

What do they consider inappropriate? Dang TL you will be getting flagged left and right. I hope that if someone flags our post that we atleast get a fair day in court. Innocent until proven guilty !!!! We should have the right to face our accusers.

Flagged! See the way you are?
Flagging what is preceived as being wrong will curtail the usages of the entertaining tool. And yes this blog is for entertainment. I think you are going to eventually drive off usership. Again "government" gets involved and does the opposite of its intent. Shame.
Think of it this way how many posts would have been flagged in October and Novemeber during the strike. Karma might have flagged M4S when they first started. Look at them now at least the are respectful of each other even though they disagree on things. Look at Shep vs. M4S (sorry M4S common theme). How about TL and his humor? THis is a bad move and I hope it was not implemented becuase a small few took to complain. We are all adults here (I think anyway). Censorship is bad and un american (play patriotic music now).
