If you have a personal problem with another blogger, do not bring your arguments to the site. Name calling, personal attacks, being rude, harassing and outing users are all violations of our Terms of Service and can and will lead to the loss of posting privileges. YC will not tolerate any behavior that is threatening to another user or creates an environment that is not fun or friendly to the entire community.

The Terms of Service should be followed at all times. Defense is not an expectable excuse for breaking the Terms. If you don't like what someone has to say, don't continue to post blogs or comments on the site just to inflame the user(s), site guests or for that matter, the YC staff. Stop posting, contact a member of the YC staff via the flag as inappropriate feature or the Feedback Form, and move along. Before you post, ask yourself; is it worth losing my posting privileges?

Here is a quick overview of the top ten things you need to be mindful of when posting on the site. If it violates the Top Ten, it violates the Terms.

YC's Top Ten

1. Most important: Remember the Golden Rule, and be respectful. You can share your opinion and oppose views posted by other members. But do so without being nasty or vulgar.

2. If you wouldn't want your child reading what you've written, don't post it. We want you to have fun and entertaining experience on the site, but please keep in mind that YourCranberry.com is for community members of all ages.

3. Masking profanity with dashes and symbols won’t fly. Profanity and adult content are prohibited through avatars, screen names, profile pages, blogs, forum posts, comments, events, polls and any other pages that are viewable by the community.

4. No ganging up. Constructive debate and discussion are encouraged. Don't harass or personally attack others.

5. If you're going to post something controversial, be prepared for others to disagree or challenge your views. If you can't cope being challenged, move on to a topic you are more comfortable with.

6. Don't post blogs or comments on the site just to inflame other members, site guests or the yc staff.

7. Don't share personal information about anyone else, or try to guess at the identity of other posters. Be careful what you reveal about yourself as well.

8. Post under only one username. If you suspect that a member is posting under multiple names, contact us via the feedback form immediately and we will investigate. Do not threaten, harass or make blog posts about your suspicions.

9. Slurs and hate speech are not tolerated. Enough said.

10. When you report something to us that you believe violates these guidelines or the YourCranberry.com Terms of Service, we will review it. If we think that by removing a post -- or a YC member -- we can make the site experience better for others or it will help to maintain the overall integrity of the site, we will do it. Or, we could decide that a post you may object to is within the guidelines.

We will not always explain our actions, but you can be sure we do not take these decisions lightly. You may not always like our decisions, but they are final and non-debatable.
