I'm sure some folks spent way too much...and more than $400!
C'mon Mom and Dad, this isn't their wedding day for goodness sake. What do they have to look forward to if:
1. You rent the car of their dreams as Prom transportation
2. You make hair, mani, pedi, makeup, tanning, and massage appts. for them...for PROM...get real.
3. You buy them the dress of their dreams, even if it is worn only once and cost hundreds of dollars...anything for your little girl, right?
4. The list goes on, you get my drift.
Some (I repeat, some) go way overboard. And you all look like fools. Please don't think you are impressing anyone. Here is what it tells me:
"Little SuzyQ deserves it ALL and then some because ever since she was a little girl we've always given her everything she wanted just to avoid a temper tantrum so we must continue to do the same throughout her lifetime or she will hate us and we don't want that to happen because we want to be her friend not a parent and furthermore, I......"
Why don't you, instead, worry about what message that low-cut skimpy dress is sending your daughter's date?
