you know they have a choice but personally I think they will lose all the parents that did support them while on strike. They will have nobody left and no support.
on this poll.
Can you be a guest and vote? If so, this leads me to believe that many lurkers have voiced their opinion about the big vote next week. Many of them possibly teachers lettting us know how they intend to vote. ??
Spoke with a teacher this weekend. She was not sure how the vote would go because the majority of the money was placed at the beginning of the salary scale for new hires. Leaving 1% raises for the teachers with more experience.
but the in the board's last best offer the step 19 teachers were given a higher dollar figure than the fact finder's number but at the expense of the younger teachers. The union through this whole thing has been tlaking about career earnings. If more money goes to theyounger teachers then in fact they get more career earnings. It was also mention that one of the board's last proprosal (the variation of the 4%) gave teachers more money at the top. How much I do not know but I heard that number was aroubd 81K dollars. It sounds like the union was trying to address every problem they have when this contract they should of fixed one problem and then next contract fix the next problem. Just my thoughts
